Uninstall Search Protect

You can uninstall Search Protect just like you would any other Windows program:

  1. Click the Start menu and select Control Panel.
  2. Click Uninstall a program under Programs. (Or, click Programs and Features.)
  3. Find Search Protect in the list of programs.
  4. Double-click Search Protect.

Change Your Browser Settings and Save Them through Search Protect

To change your browser settings and continue to have Search Protect prevent them from being altered, follow these steps:

  1. Click the arrow in the notifications area (at the far right of your taskbar) to show hidden icons.



  2. Click the Search Protect icon.
  3. Select the setting you want to change (e.g. Home Page, New Tab).



  4. Select the page you want displayed (e.g. Conduit, Google). To select a page that isn’t listed, select Other and add the web address you want to use (e.g. www.myfavorite page.com).
  5. Click Apply.

Change Your Browser Settings and Disable Search Protect

To change your browser settings, simply follow the steps below. Please note that if you change a setting manually, Search Protect will be disabled for that particular setting — meaning, it will no longer save that setting.
