Justin.tv Streams Live Video from New Conduit-Powered Browser App October 26, 2010October 26, 2010 — San Mateo, Calif. – Conduit®, powering apps for its network of over 250,000 web publishers and their 170 million users, and Justin.tv, the leading live video community on the Web, today announced the launch of the new Justin.tv Browser App. On the heels of a successful mobile initiative with their Android and iPhone apps, Justin.tv is introducing the easiest way to view streaming video on the internet via an interactive web app.
The Justin.tv Browser App allows users to connect to the Justin.tv platform to view videos in popular categories, such as sports, news, technology, education, gaming, entertainment and more without ever having to navigate off of the site they are visiting. The app, accessed via a button on the browser, expands to a small window to allow the user to scan through channels and view videos of interest directly in the browser.
“Our goal is to connect the world through live video,” said Michael Seibel, co-founder and CEO of Justin.tv. “The new browser app ensures that our users can interact with Justin.tv no matter where they are on the Web and allows us to reach Conduit’s network of more than 170 million users.”
Justin.tv will also put their browser app in the Conduit App Marketplace in order to gain exposure among the 250,000 web publishers and 170 million users in the Conduit Network. The app will be available on all of the major browsers, including Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
“Knowing that there are so many online video platforms available to consumers, Justin.tv was savvy enough to realize that distribution and brand awareness were the keys to staying ahead of their competition,” said Adam Boyden, president of Conduit. “This browser app, built on Conduit Platform, will not only enhance the Justin.tv user experience, but will support the company’s business goals to expand their audience and reach users wherever they interact with video.”
Conduit Platform can help organizations in any market -- sports, entertainment, technology, online video, and more -- increase exposure of their brands and acquire new customers. For more information, visit us at www.conduit.com or write to us at email@example.com.
