Thousands of Free Flash Games Available on Mochi Media’s New Web App September 14, 2010
San Francisco, CA – September 14, 2010 –
Mochi Media, a massive online games network, and Conduit, powering
apps for its network of over 250,000 web publishers and their 170 million users, today announced the availability of the MochiGames App for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome web browsers. The new custom web app was designed to drive engagement, monetization, and loyalty with the Mochi Media network of more than 140 million game players.
The MochiGames
App provides users full gaming functionality right in the browser window. Mochi Media is also distributing their app in the Conduit App Marketplace in order to capture new users. Initial results have been good: within the first four days after launch, over 100,000 users installed the MochiGames App from the Marketplace.
“Our network powers thousands of games created by the developers in the Mochi Media community. We are always looking for ways to help these developers reach a broader audience and get their games in front of more people,” says Ryan Nichols, VP of Product Management at Mochi Media. “Conduit is helping us solve that problem.”
Only a few weeks after launch, Mochi Media has already seen a significant increase in engagement by their users. The app features a universal log-in feature that allows users to start playing in the app and then continue online. It also includes a Favorites list to save games for quick access later. Nearly 50% of gamers that open the app play at least one game, averaging four minutes of time in the app.
“If a company wants to thrive in the gaming industry, it must have a nimble distribution strategy that goes where the gamers are,” said Adam Boyden, president of Conduit. “A web app that provides the complete functionality of a flash game right in the browser window is a perfect solution for engaging users. It’s a dynamic, powerful, convenient tool.”
